Bumble Premium Review: Features, Price, and Who Should Pay
A current feature-by-feature decision guide without pretending one old screenshot is everyone's price.
Bumble Premium in 30 Seconds
- Premium currently includes all Bumble Boost benefits, plus Liked You, Advanced Filters, Incognito Mode, and Travel Mode.
- Premium+ adds photo insights, faster delivery of your Likes, daily feed priority, and more weekly consumables.
- Bumble does not publish one universal price. Cost varies by tier, duration, package, and current offer, so check the Pay Plan page in your account.
- Premium is easiest to justify when you have a useful Liked You queue or need one of the privacy, filter, or travel tools. It cannot fix an unclear profile.
- Start with the shortest plan that can answer your question. A lifetime plan is a large bet on both the product and your future usage.
What Bumble Premium Includes
Bumble currently has three subscription tiers: Boost, Premium, and Premium+. The names are close enough to make checkout comparisons harder than they should be, so start with the actual feature difference.
| Tier | Current headline benefits |
|---|---|
| Boost | Unlimited Likes, five SuperSwipes and one Spotlight per week, match extensions, rematches, and unlimited Backtrack |
| Premium | Everything in Boost, plus Liked You, Advanced Filters, Incognito Mode, and Travel Mode |
| Premium+ | Everything in Premium, plus photo insights, faster Like delivery, daily feed priority, two Notes, ten SuperSwipes, and two Spotlights per week |
Bumble notes that unused weekly SuperSwipes, Spotlights, and Premium+ Notes expire when the next weekly allotment arrives. That matters if a large bundle of consumables is part of the value you are comparing.
How Much Is Bumble Premium?
Bumble's current pricing help page does not list a single public price. It says the cost of Premium, Premium+, Boost, and add-ons can vary by subscription tier, duration, and package size. Current prices and promotions appear in the app's Pay Plan page or on Bumble's website.
That makes any article promising “the” Bumble Premium price stale by design. When you compare the offer in your account, look at:
- the full amount charged today;
- the length of the billing period;
- the renewal date and renewal price;
- which weekly consumables are included;
- whether the feature you actually want is in that tier.
Bumble says it does not currently support promo-code redemption, although it may show special offers in the app. Do not build a buying decision around a coupon page that cannot verify an active offer.
Which Premium Features Actually Change the Experience?
Liked You
Liked You shows profiles that have already Liked you, allowing you to review that queue directly. This is the clearest reason to choose Premium over Boost because it replaces blind discovery with a list of people who have already expressed interest.
Its value depends on the queue. If it contains relevant people you have not already seen, Premium can save time. If the queue is small or mostly outside your preferences, paying to reveal it may answer the question without improving the outcome.
Advanced Filters
Advanced Filters narrow the pool using more specific preferences. They are useful when a preference is genuinely important and broadly represented in your market.
Every additional filter also reduces the pool. In a small market, a highly filtered search can remove promising people or make the app feel empty. Add filters one at a time and treat zero results as a signal to widen the search, not proof that the app is broken.
Incognito Mode
Incognito Mode limits your profile to people you choose first. It is a meaningful privacy feature for professionals, people in small communities, or anyone who wants more control over visibility.
The tradeoff is reach: people you never Like will not discover you independently. If privacy is the goal, that is the point. If maximum inbound exposure is the goal, it works against it.
Travel Mode
Travel Mode changes your location before a trip or move. It can help you understand the pool and start conversations in advance. It does not eliminate the practical problem of distance, so be clear about when you will actually be there.
The Boost Features Included in Premium
Premium also includes unlimited Likes, Backtrack, extensions, rematches, weekly SuperSwipes, and a weekly Spotlight through Boost. These are convenience and distribution tools. More Likes or more visibility can create more opportunities, but neither guarantees mutual interest.
Premium vs. Premium+
Premium+ is the distribution tier. Its distinctive value comes from faster Like delivery, daily feed priority, photo insights, and a larger weekly allowance of Notes, SuperSwipes, and Spotlights.
Choose Premium+ only if you can explain which of those benefits you will use and how you will judge it. If your only goal is to see who already Liked you, standard Premium contains the relevant feature.
The photo-insight feature may help you understand which image receives attention, but it is still app-specific feedback. A photo can perform differently across markets, profile order, and the rest of your presentation.
Is Bumble Premium Worth It?
Premium can be worth a short test when at least one paid feature solves a specific problem:
- you have a substantial Liked You queue and want to review it efficiently;
- you need Incognito Mode for privacy;
- you are planning a trip and will use Travel Mode;
- a small number of Advanced Filters will save meaningful time;
- you already know the profile works and want Boost conveniences too.
It is harder to justify when the purchase is mainly an attempt to rescue an untested profile, when the local pool is small, or when a long plan is attractive only because the monthly equivalent looks lower.
Paid distribution and profile quality are separate levers. Bumble can show a profile more often or sooner; the viewer still decides whether the profile is relevant and compelling.
How to Run a Clean Premium Test
Use one question per test. “Does Premium fix Bumble?” is too broad. “Is my Liked You queue useful?” or “Does Incognito give me the privacy control I need?” can actually be answered.
- Capture your baseline. Note your normal weekly Likes, matches, active days, and current profile.
- Choose the shortest adequate plan. Avoid a lifetime commitment before you have used the features.
- Keep the profile stable. Changing photos, location, filters, and tier at once makes the result impossible to interpret.
- Use the paid feature deliberately. Schedule the Spotlight, review Liked You, or set the filters you bought the plan for.
- Compare rates and quality. More matches are not automatically better if they fall outside your preferences.
- Decide before renewal. Keep, downgrade, or cancel based on the original question.
How to Cancel Bumble Premium
Cancel through the same platform used to subscribe. In general, App Store purchases are managed in Apple subscriptions, Google Play purchases in Google Play subscriptions, and web purchases through Bumble's account or support flow. Cancellation usually stops renewal rather than immediately removing the remaining paid period.
Check the renewal date shown on your receipt and Bumble account rather than relying on a generic deadline in an article.
FAQ
Is Bumble Premium worth it for men?
The decision is not gender-specific: Premium is most useful when Liked You, Incognito, Travel Mode, or Advanced Filters solves a real problem. It does not guarantee that additional visibility will convert into mutual interest.
What is the difference between Boost and Premium?
Premium includes Boost and adds Liked You, Advanced Filters, Incognito Mode, and Travel Mode.
What is the difference between Premium and Premium+?
Premium+ adds photo insights, faster Like delivery, daily feed priority, and more weekly Notes, SuperSwipes, and Spotlights.
How much does Bumble Premium cost?
The cost varies by tier, duration, package, and offer. Bumble directs users to the Pay Plan page in the app or the website for current pricing.
Does Bumble offer promo codes or a free trial?
Bumble says promo-code redemption is not currently available. It may run special offers, which appear in the app when available. Trial availability can therefore vary; rely on the checkout screen in your account.
